Full container load (FCL)
With FCL you have a whole container to yourself, typically a 20ft or 40ft unit (high-cube and specialist containers can also be arranged). It is often the better value once you have enough cargo to fill most of a container, and your goods stay sealed in one box from origin to destination.
Less than container load (LCL)
With LCL your goods share a container with other shippers and you pay for the space you use, usually by cubic metre. It suits smaller shipments that are too big or too heavy to fly economically. Allow extra time for consolidation and deconsolidation at each end.
What we arrange
- Import and export sea freight through UK seaports
- Port-to-port or door-to-door
- Container haulage to and from the port via partner hauliers
- Bills of lading issued by our partner carriers and agents
- Customs declarations through partner brokers
Good to know
- Transit times vary by route, carrier and season, so we confirm schedules when we quote.
- Port, terminal and destination charges can apply in addition to the ocean freight. We aim to show these clearly on your quote.
- Containers must be returned on time to avoid demurrage or detention charges.
