When air freight makes sense
Air is usually the quickest way to move goods over long distances. It suits urgent orders, samples, spare parts, high-value items and goods with a short shelf life. Because air rates are calculated on weight or volume (whichever is greater), it works best for smaller, denser consignments.
What we arrange
- Import and export air freight via UK airports
- Airport-to-airport or door-to-door
- Collection from your premises and delivery to the consignee
- Consolidated (shared) or direct services, depending on urgency and budget
- Air waybills issued by our partner air cargo agents
- Export and import customs declarations through partner brokers
Good to know
- Chargeable weight: airlines charge on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. Accurate dimensions help us quote correctly.
- Dangerous goods: batteries, aerosols, chemicals and similar items need special handling and paperwork. Tell us at the quote stage.
- Packaging: goods should be packed and labelled for air transport, and secure-supply-chain screening rules apply.
